Trek Credit Card
The Trek Credit Card starts by charging you some of the highest interest rates we have reviewed. It does offer interest-free financing if you purchase a regularly priced bike for over $250. Unfortunately, the Trek Credit card is issued by Comenity Bank, which has a terrible customer service record.
Pros
No Annual Fee
Special Financing
Reports To Major Credit Bureaus
Cons
Low Value Rewards
High APR
Limited Use
Poor Customer Service
The Trek Credit Card offers none of the rewards or advantages that you would expect from a retail credit card. The only advantage to having the Trek Card is that you may qualify for six-month or twelve-month interest-free financing if you purchase a regular-priced bike.
Unfortunately, Comenity Bank issues this card. That means it carries an extremely high APR and an even worse customer service record.
Choosing a traditional credit card over the Trek Comenity Bank Card could save your credit score and thousands of dollars in interest payments over your lifetime.
The Trek Credit Card starts by charging you some of the highest interest rates we have reviewed, It does offer interest-free financing if you purchase a regularly priced bike over $250.
You can only use this card at Trek stores or the Trek website.
A major problem with this card is the issuer, Comenity Bank. Comenity Bank store cards have very poor customer reviews. One recurring complaint is that they will cancel your card if you do not keep a balance and pay them interest, even if you always pay on time.
When an issuer closes a revolving credit card account your credit score can take a hit.
There are many traditional credit cards that would be a better choice than the Comenity Trek Card if you are looking for a credit card.

What Is The Trek Credit Card?
The Trek Credit Card accounts are issued by Comenity Bank for use only at the Trek family of stores and their website. You will not find a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express logo on this card, so it can’t be used anywhere else.
Customers who use the Trek card to make purchases may qualify for special financing terms if they purchase a regularly priced bike over $250.
Trek rewards do not include points or any other notable perk other than promotional plan financing for qualified purchases.

Comenity Bank and Trek offer two special financing options based on the amount you need to borrow and the length of time you plan on taking to pay off off the loan.
Here’s the catch.
First, you have to purchase a bike at the regular price to qualify for interest-free financing.
Second, the bike must cost $250 to qualify for up to six months of differed interest financing, or over $1,000 for twelve months of interest-free financing.
If you fail to pay the purchase in the specific time frame or make a late payment you will be back charged 28.49% in interest from the date of the purchase.

👉 A 2019 Credit Card Insider survey found that 40% of retail store credit card holders regretted applying for their store card. We recommend that you apply for a traditional credit card instead.
Regardless of your credit score, there are many better alternatives to the Comenity Trek Card option that will save you more money.

Trek Credit Card Benefits
The Trek Card offers customers special financing options on some products.
Their rewards program is so light that they have to include ‘perks’ that almost all store cards offer, such as no annual fee and access to your account online.
In addition, the Trek Rewards also include the following:
- Differed Interest Financing
- No annual fee (this is standard for store cards, not really a reward)
- Account management app (every card offers this, not really a reward)
This is not a particularly impressive package.
Credit LimitÂ
Your initial Trek credit limit will be determined by a number of factors, including your credit history and income.
There is no way of predicting the credit limit you will get.
Trek Credit Limit Increase
Your account will periodically be reviewed for eligible credit limit increases.
If you make your payments on time, Comenity Bank will consider you for a credit limit increase.
You can also request a credit limit increase on your customer dashboard or by calling Comenity Bank directly.
This is true for most credit cards and should not be a determining factor in choosing a credit card.
